Features

Basics
  • Reports, presentations and dynamic dashboards can be created with charts and tables according to Hichert-IBCS.
  • Chart-me WEB charts and tables can be linked to different data sources:
    • Excel files
    • CSV files
    • ODBC data sources
    • TM / 1 cubes
    • SAP BW Info Objects
  • Basic types:
    • Unstacked columns and bars
    • Point and line charts
    • Stacked columns and bars
    • 100% stack
    • waterfalls
    • tables
    • Variance chart types
    • Columns and bars for delta variances
    • Waterfall columns and bars for cumulative variances
    • Needle chart type for percent variances
  • Charts and tables can be supplemented generically with any number of subcharts, data series and table columns.
  • Tables can also be supplemented with charts as variance columns.
  • The user interface runs in all popular web browsers, objects can be inserted with drag & drop.
  • Chart-me WEB object properties can be edited in a property dialog.
  • All objects, such as pages, charts, subcharts, rows, categories, data points, highlighting, … are displayed in a structure tree and can be selected there.
Unified representation
  • Scenarios (AC, PL, FC) according to IBCS are integrated and applicable for data series and axes.
  • Previous years can be displayed lighter.
  • Categories can be displayed in standard widths for period types (years, quarters, months, …) or in custom width.
Highlighting
  • Highlightings are available to focus the presentation, such as
  • Difference indicators,
  • Value indicators,
  • Scaling indicators and
  • Comment links.
Scaling
  • Uniform scaling can be easily implemented using scaling groups and scaling indicators.
  • In this case, a distinction is made between different measures, which are scaled simultaneously among themselves.
  • The font size concept allows the representation to be scaled up or down only by changing the font size.
  • Labels can be displayed separately by measure (value, volume, percentage) in thousands, million, bn.
Hierarchies
  • Multiple nested hierarchies for tables and charts (waterfalls) are possible.
  • Drilldowns in charts and tables are possible.
  • In Excel files, hierarchies can be represented as parent-child relationships.
Data
  • In the built-in Pivotiser data can be pivotized and filtered.
  • In interactive dashboard applications, filters can be defined that can be used by reading users, for example, to switch over years, months or cost centers.
Dynamics
  • Objects can be dynamically transformed into one another, e.g.
    • Horizontal axis (time) in vertical axis (structure),
    • Charts in tables,
    • Absolute- in percentage variances,
    • Szenarios (AC, PL, FC) can be switched,
    • Labels can be shown or hidden
  • The number of subcharts, data series, and categories can be dynamically set by the elements of a dimension.
Interactivity
  • Definable click interactivity for interactive dashboard solutions.
  • Rows, columns, charts, subcharts, data points and axis labels can be defined as clickable and are highlighted when hovering.
  • Click event handling can be programmed with scripting.
Scripting
  • Integrated full JavaScript scripting.
  • Scripting editor with intellisense, name-completion and parameter display.
  • The entire object hierarchy of the charts and tables can be controlled by scripting.
  • Objects can be dynamically transferred via scripting into one another, for example,
    • Horizontal axis (time) in vertical axis (structure),
    • Charts in tables,
    • Absolute- in percentage variances,
    • Szenarios (AC, PL, FC) can be switched,
    • Labels can be shown or hidden
Export
  • Via scripting or in a user interface these files can be exported:
    • CSV for Excel,
    • JPEG and
    • PDF
  • Via scripting also multipage PDFD can be created from different sources.
  • The PDF exports have a high ready-to-print quality.
Collaboration
  • Chart-me WEB and Chart-me DS can exchange projects among each other.
  • As a result, analysis results can be visualized as Excel data from SAP Analysis for Excel in Chart-me WEB and then reused in SAP Design Studio for standard reporting with SAP data.
